Counseling Intern Therapist

Whether you’re a tween learning to handle big feelings, an adult carrying more than you let on, or a family trying to find your way back to each other, I’m really glad you found your way here.

I’m Shaq, a Registered Clinical Social Work Intern and Certified Life Coach. I believe you don’t have to navigate life’s challenges alone. Many of the people I work with come to therapy feeling emotionally exhausted, stuck, or unsure of their next step, whether that’s because of anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, relationship challenges, or the everyday stress of life.

Your experiences matter, and support is available. My goal is to create a safe, nonjudgmental space where you can be yourself, feel heard and understood, and work at a pace that feels comfortable for you.

You don’t have to have it all figured out before you reach out. We’ll take it one step at a time, together.

"One step at a time."

My favorite reminder that healing and growth don’t happen overnight. Sometimes progress simply means taking the next step.

Who I Serve?

Do you feel like you’re carrying everything on your own, and you’re running out of room?

Does it feel like your emotions are running the show lately?

If you’re ready to take that first step, I’d love to walk alongside you.

I work with individuals and families, from tweens and teens to adults and older adults. I support clients navigating anxiety and depression, trauma and difficult life experiences, mood changes, grief and loss, neurodivergence, relationship and family challenges, stress and life transitions, self-esteem, and emotional regulation.

Some of my clients are working through a specific loss or transition. Others simply want a place to feel heard without judgment. Wherever you’re starting from, we’ll work together to understand what you’re going through and build real, lasting change.

Get to Know Me

Outside of therapy, you’ll usually find me in the kitchen cooking something new, working on an art project, or curled up with a good book.

Creativity has always been one of my favorite ways to recharge, and it reminds me that growth can be fun too. Most of all,

I love spending time with my family and friends. Those are the moments that keep me grounded and remind me what matters most.
