Our Team
Hello, I’m Margaret and welcome to Soul Purpose Counseling, where healing journeys begin! With a compassionate heart and a commitment to promoting safety and trust, I invite you to embark on a path toward transformation and resilience.
Drawing upon eight years of experience in the therapeutic field, I specialize in supporting individuals who have experienced trauma, substance use concerns, anxiety, and mood disorders. My approach is deeply rooted in a trauma-informed framework, acknowledging the unique complexities of each person's journey.
In our sessions, you'll find a space free of judgment, where your voice is heard with openness and understanding. Together, we'll explore the depths of your experiences and collaboratively determine the most effective therapeutic methods tailored to your needs. As a former member of the United States Air Force, I hold a special affinity for veterans and understand the intricacies of their experiences. Your service and sacrifices are honored here, and I am dedicated to providing specialized support tailored to your unique journey. Take the courageous step toward healing and reach out today. Together, we'll navigate the challenges and celebrate the victories, walking hand in hand toward a brighter tomorrow.
My Background
I'm a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, Qualified Supervisor, EMDR Trained, Certified Clinical Anxiety Treatment Professional, and addictions specialist. I've had the privilege of walking alongside individuals, couples, families, and organizations for more than 15 years as they navigate life's most difficult seasons. But more than anything, I'm simply someone who believes people deserve a place where they can exhale, be fully themselves, and begin healing without fear of judgment. Born and raised right here in Tampa, Florida, this community has shaped who I am. It's an honor to now serve the very place that helped raise me. I earned my Master's degree in Counseling from the University of South Florida and founded Soul Purpose Counseling & Consulting because I wanted to create more than a therapy practice. I wanted to create a place where people feel genuinely seen, heard, and cared for. Throughout my career, I've worked with individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, grief and loss, substance use, codependency, eating disorders, low self-esteem, relationship challenges, and major life transitions. While Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) provides an important foundation for my work, I believe healing is never one-size-fits-all. Every person has a unique story, and together we'll discover an approach that fits yours.
My Approach & Philosophy
I don't believe therapy is about "fixing" you because I don't believe you're broken. I believe many of us have spent years surviving. We've learned to stay busy, keep the peace, push through, or take care of everyone else while quietly carrying our own pain. Those survival strategies often made sense at one point in our lives, but eventually they can leave us feeling disconnected from ourselves and the people we love. My goal isn't to tell you what to do. It's to help you better understand yourself, reconnect with your strengths, and create lasting change that feels authentic to who you are. Our sessions may include insight, laughter, tears, difficult conversations, practical tools, moments of reflection, and plenty of grace. I strive to create a space where you feel both supported and gently challenged because I believe growth happens when we feel safe enough to be honest with ourselves. In addition to providing therapy, I'm passionate about educating our community through workshops, speaking engagements, leadership trainings, and mental health advocacy. I believe healing doesn't only happen in the therapy room. It also happens in our homes, workplaces, schools, churches, and communities when we create spaces where people feel safe to be human. Wherever you are in your journey, I'm honored you're here. I look forward to meeting you.

Hi! I’m Naomi Mack, a Registered Mental Health Counselor Intern. I work with teens, emerging adults, and adults who often come to me feeling weighed down by anxiety, depression, burnout, grief, or the lasting impacts of trauma. Many of my clients also struggle with navigating identity concerns, religious or acculturation trauma, ADHD, and LGBTQ+ issues.
My approach is integrative, drawing from humanistic, cognitive-behavioral, and existential theories, always through a trauma-informed lens. That means our sessions move at your pace, with you as the expert of your own story.
Clients who work with me often describe feeling more confident in their ability to cope, more open to new experiences, and better equipped with all-around tools to regulate emotions (mind, body, and spirit).
I earned my Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Wake Forest University and have experience supporting individuals in both community and private settings. My training includes CBT, DBT, and IFS, and I continue to deepen my practice with somatic, play, and horticultural approaches.
Beyond my work, I feel most fulfilled when I’m immersed in my passions: reading a good mystery/thriller, dancing, strength training, traveling, or enjoying downtime with my family, friends, and my canine bestie, Captain.
If you’re ready to explore therapy together, I’d be honored to walk alongside you as you navigate life’s challenges and discover new ways to thrive!
